VIVA Card

It’s a quick and easy way to pay for journeys on public transport in Lisbon. Valid for an unlimited number of journeys on the entire CARRIS network and on the Metro for 24 hours (counting from the first validation)

You have to buy a Viva Viagem card to travel on metro, ferry and suburban train. On bus, tram and funicular, you can either use your Viva Viagem card or, if you don’t have one, buy a ticket from the driver (on-board fares are more expensive).

Tip: The option for the 24h ticket is exceptional value, as not only does it include all buses, metro services and trams, it also covers the funiculars, and historic trams. This includes the three funiculars Glória, Bica and Lavra (€3,80 return), the Elevador de Santa Justa (€5,3 return), and the charming E28 tram (€3,0single). The 24h ticket does not provide entry to the viewing platform on the Elevador de Santa Justa.

Tram number 15 tram route connects Praça da Figueira with Algés, but what matters te most is that it connects the Baixa district with the Belem district.

Belem is a wonderful section of the city, which lines the banks of the Tejo Estuary and is filled with many of Lisbon’s most iconic buildings.

Tram nº28 initial stop

Working hours: 7h30 til 22h00

It's perhaps Lisbon's most popular activity: A ride back in time, over hills and medieval streets, in vintage trams that are still part of the city's public transportation network. It connects Martim Moniz with Campo Ourique, and passes through the popular tourist districts of Graça, Alfama, Baixa and Estrela.
